A gorgeous 60s/ 70s flower power waistcoat. I suspect it to be made in Birma/ Myanmar as the style and way of embellishment resembles the kalaga waistcoats from that part of the world. This beautiful piece is old though and it shows. It’s missing some sequins and please don’t be surprised if you loose a few more in your time with this beauty. It is still an amazing piece of art though, one might argue the age and wear add to the beauty, at least i feel it does. The front has two pockets, decorated with butterflies and above it, there’s lilac roses. On the back it shows a big sunflower surrounded by more intricate decor. It’s made out of cotton velvet and cotton lining. It’s so beautiful you can actually hang it on the wall and just take in the artistry. I’ve never come across one that’s exactly like this so that makes it extra special.

Most garments I sell are vintage. Defects are always mentioned but keep in mind I sell garments that are often 30 years old, some are 40 or 50 years old even. Signs of wear can be expected of vintage. It’s part of the charm. Make sure you checked all pictures and descriptions before you purchase.
