In 1964, Mohanjeet Grewal opened her first boutique in Paris, "La Malle de l'Inde," later renamed "Mohanjeet" in 1968. She introduced Indian fabrics like khadi and vibrant Rajasthani prints to the French fashion scene. Her designs, including the iconic mini-sari, combined traditional Indian elements with Western styles. Her work has influenced global fashion and inspired other designers, including Yves Saint Laurent.
