In 1964, Mohanjeet Grewal opened her first boutique in Paris, "La Malle de l'Inde," later renamed "Mohanjeet" in 1968.
She introduced Indian fabrics like khadi and vibrant Rajasthani prints to the French fashion scene. Her designs, including the iconic mini-sari, combined traditional Indian elements with Western styles.
Her work has influenced global fashion and inspired other designers, including Yves Saint Laurent.
Most garments I sell are vintage. Defects are always mentioned but keep in mind I sell garments that are often 30 years old, some are 40 or 50 years old even. Signs of wear can be expected of vintage. It’s part of the charm. Make sure you checked all pictures and descriptions before you purchase.
All sales are final.
