Handmade by yours truly. Hide, ribbon and even the thread is sourced secondhand. The collar can be combined with your jacket or cardigan, it not only gives the garments you already own a fresh new look but it also adds a little warmth and comfort. This piece of shearling was light grey and I dyed it using turmeric.
Although thoroughly rinsed and brushed, the color might rub off on lighter colors. Caution is advised with plant dyed fabrics and shearling. Tumeric gives off a warm scent, I added a drop of cinnamon essential oil to enhance the spice scent.
Most garments I sell are vintage. Defects are always mentioned but keep in mind I sell garments that are at least 30 years old, most are 40 or 50 years old. Some signs of wear can be expected of vintage. It’s part of the charm. Make sure you checked all pictures and descriptions before you purchase.
