Arnold Maloney is a renowned Navajo silversmith celebrated for his handcrafted sterling silver jewelry, often featuring intricate designs and high-quality gemstones. His pieces typically showcase traditional Navajo motifs, incorporating materials such as turquoise, coral, malachite, and onyx.

Maloney’s work includes a diverse range of jewelry items, such as rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and brooches. For instance, his sterling silver lizard brooches are adorned with multi-stone inlays, combining turquoise, malachite, spiny oyster, and onyx to create vibrant, detailed designs.

Collectors and enthusiasts often identify Maloney’s creations by the hallmark “M” stamped on his pieces, signifying authenticity and craftsmanship.

Morenci Turquoise was first discovered in the Morenci Mine in Arizona. The mine stopped producing this turquoise in the 1970s.

Nowadays, jewelers and collectors of rare and precious stones turn them into lavish jewelry or keep them as collector's items. There is a limited supply of Morenci Turquoise available now because the mine where it was found no longer produces it. This makes it a valuable item for those who can get their hands on it.

Most garments I sell are vintage. Defects are always mentioned but keep in mind I sell garments that are often 30 years old, some are 40 or 50 years old even. Signs of wear can be expected of vintage. It’s part of the charm. Make sure you checked all pictures and descriptions before you purchase.
